26 January 2009

Hey Mom . . .(Mom is in TROUBLE!!!!)
I didn't receive an email this week but I'll tell ya a little about my week.
This week we found a family that when we talked to them, they said they had been waiting for us. Talk about crazy!, so we are planning on going back because they were busy at the moment. I'm hoping that we might actually see some success finally in this area!!!
This week was super hot . . . on Thursday while we were eating lunch, I stuck my alarm clock out in the sun because it has a thermometer on it and when I went to check on it, It was 131 degrees in the sun. Talk about cooking! Also, that morning, I sewed my first two holes in a pair of my pants. I must have caught them on a nail or something on a chair.

I have one question, Is it possible at all to wash dry clean pants like in normal water or anything?

20 January 2009

Hahaha wow crazy week
Anyways I am picking up the Spanish a lot quicker with Elder Pinet and he is learning English so we are helping each other. This week has been awesome, we've been finding investigators and are hoping that they move along good!!! Elder Pinet is SUPER goofy sometimes, I don't know how I can stand working with him but everything seems to work out. With Elder Frazier, we were always talking about everything because we seemed to have everything in common and with Elder Pinet, it seems completely opposite so I kind of had a hard beginning of the week with the transition but the missionary work seems to finally be going somewhere so I am not complaining too loud.

I did find something that I need this week. I am running low on face wash and could use some more as soon as possible...and we don't have any Peanut Butter down here and there are a few who would like to try it if maybe you could send a bit of that too. If not that's okay.
Love ya thanks for all the support

PS Tell Matt to stop hurting himself--He's gonna need a good knee for walking all day in the mission.
Tell Cameron to keep up the good work in wrestling and always find the fun in everything.

Oh and don't worry about me--they drink so much Coke down here I definetly get at least a glass a week (Thank's for the advice Grandma.)

13 January 2009

Mom,
Sorry I didn't write yesterday, we had transfers and Elder Frazier headed home and I was waiting for my new companion all day so I didn't make it to do the internet til today. My new companion is Elder Pinet. He is from Chile and has, I think, just over a year in the mission so I am going to pick up Spanish really quick--I Hope! He is kinda weird, we haven't connected as well as Elder Frazier and I did, and everything is kind of awkward. He does speak English but to help me learn Spanish faster, we are using English as little as possible. Transfers are fun, finding out who your new companion is going to be, but they are hard because it is like starting all over again, building a working companionship. I'm sure all will turn out well with the Lord on our side though so no worries.
Nope, we haven't had a chance to go back by the one guys house. (last letter)
Well there is nothing I really need but maybe could use some more M&Ms (Peanut Butter) and Mike & Ikes seeing how I opened the package while we were having lunch as a zone and shared some candy from the United States with everyone. It's already gone but just what ever, I'll let you know if there is anything that I really need.

Thanks for everything :)

4 January 2009

Mom,
Hey everything is going great!!! I haven't gotten the package yet but I am hoping it comes today! Thanks for the pictures, Elder Frazier is getting ready to go home and wanted to see what my house looked like before he left.
I didn't think I could write (email) other people but the Elders said it's okay, just not to spend too much time on it.
This week, I got sick and had diahria for a day but I am all better now so no worries.
Ha ha I wish you could send me some snow too!!! It was around 105 or more yesterday but I didn't quite cook so I am still alive.
This week because of the Holidays, nobody is home so contacting is hard but we did happen to find one guy but at the beginning he didn't want to hear anything out of OUR BIBLE, the Book of Mormon, but we got talking with him and taught him the whole first lesson and he was speechless and didn't know what to say. We were going to give him a Book of Mormon but he still didn't want anything to do with it. He said he had a question and asked where we go after this life, so we taught him the whole second lesson. At the end of an hour and a half of not wanting anything to do with the Book of Mormon, He asked aren't you going to give me one of your books? So we did and showed him where to read and asked his name and when we could return to talk more but he didn't want us to come back or know his name. It was really funny, but we're hoping to stop by and see if he wants to know more.

Hey Everybody,
It was good to talk to everyone on the phone on Christmas. I don't know of anything super interesting going on right now but I'll let you know this next week if anything amazing is happening. I heard that the United States is getting a ton of snow all over.
